However, the official also confirmed that after the damage was noticed by the authority very soon and Kohli's figure was sent for repairs and everything is back to normal now.
"Yes, it was damaged. But now the statue has been rectified. Kohli's statue ear was damaged due to some reason. We have fixed it immediately and fans are most welcome to visit the museum to take the photos with the India captain's statue," the official was quoted as saying by NDTV.

Earlier, on Wednesday, Kohli joined legends like Sachin Tendulkar and Kapil Dev to be the only Indian cricketers to have their wax statues present at the Madame Tussauds. Kohli's figure was crafted from over 200 measurements and photographs taken during the siting session.
"I sincerely appreciate the efforts and incredible work undergone in making my figure. Thanks to Madame Tussauds for choosing me for this lifetime experience. I am grateful to my fans for their love and support.
"This experience is going to be stored in the fond memories of my life...now waiting to see the fan reactions," Kohli said in a statement issued by Madame Tussauds.
