AGRA: More than 1.5 lakh students of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar University will have to wait for their results. The varsity authorities have failed to declare all examination results by June 15. University administration claimed to have declared results of 70 courses of the total 86 till Friday night. The deadline for declaring the remaining results has been extended by 15 days.
University public relation officer GS Sharma said, "University had completed evaluation on time. Results of some of the courses are incomplete as the self-financed colleges have not sent the practical exam marks. Results of more than four lakh students have been declared. As per the directive of the state government, we will ensure 100% result declaration by June 30."
As many as 5.86 lakh students were eligible to appear for university's main examination conducted earlier this year. At the end of last month, university administration had claimed to have completed evaluation of answersheets. In the second week of June, the authorities started declaring results of major courses. Till late evening on Saturday, the result declaration process continued. University made results relating to 70 courses available on its website. However, results of many courses are yet to be declared.
University registrar KN Singh said, "Results of some of the colleges have been put on hold following reports of use of unfair means during exam against them. They have also been withheld due to non-submission of examination fee and for failing to send practical exam marks. At the undergraduate level, results of 112 colleges have been put on hold."
University administration claimed it would sort out use of unfair means cases soon. A decision to the effect would be taken at a meeting of the examination committee. In case of lack of evidence to prove use of unfair means during exam against a college, university would declared its results immediately, sources said.
Earlier, the varsity administration had declared to complete result declaration process by June 15 in order to check the problem of delayed academic session.
