NEW DELHI: Equity markets on Tuesday got off to another negative opening as Asian cues dragged investor sentiments.

30-share BSE Sensex opened with a minor gain of 18 points but soon started losing and had lost above 80 points to slip below the 35,000-mark in early trading. The broader 50-share NSE Nifty too was down more than 0.20 per cent to test 10,600-levels.

Pharma and auto sector stocks were trailing the most while IT and PSU Bank stocks were in the green.

Reliance, HDFC Bank, Wipro, TCS and SBi stocks were topping the charts on Tuesday morning.
