NEW DELHI: After rallying in the last three sessions, equity markets on Tuesday saw some minor losses in early trading.
30-share BSE Sensex opened 50 points in the green to go past 35,200-mark but could not hold on to the gains and was down 0.20 per cent by 9.30 am. The broader 50-share NSE Nifty was close to hitting the 10,700-mark.
Among sectoral sub-indices, Nifty IT was the only one in the green, gaining almost a per cent. The bank stocks however, were once again bleeding with both the private and public bank sectoral indices losing in excess of 1 per cent.
Larsen & Toubro, TCS and Tata Motors were among the major gainers in early trading.
